Erin Convery, Girls Friendly Society group co-ordinator for Chester le Street and based at Bullion Hall about the challenges girls and young women face and how GFS can help.
It’s not always easy being a girl. Girls and young women today, face a multitude of challenges; from managing friendships and relationships, to the pressures of social media. And helping them through these challenges, as a parent, isn’t easy either. That’s why GFS is bringing a different kind of after school club to Chester-le-Street.
Our volunteer-run, group for girls meets weekly to give every girl the opportunity to grow in confidence. At the sessions, we aim to help girls, make friends, have new experiences and feel inspired.
We meet on a Monday night 6-7:30pm at Bullion Hall, South Approach, Chester-le-Street DH2 2DW
Our group couldn’t run without the amazing volunteers that support the girls. If you would be interesting in coming and supporting then please also get in touch, the more the merrier!
