If you’ve started 2022 feeling out of sorts and needing to lose a few pounds after too many sweeties and fizz, then we have a range of fitness and exercise classes at Bullion Hall for all ages and abilities, to help you to get in shape and feeling better.

Monday
Judo, 6pm to 8pm £5 per class
Every Monday Junior Judo is on from 6 to 7pm followed by Adult Judo from 7 to 8pm. Judo training is an excellent form of physical exercise and serves as a great cardiovascular workout, improving stamina, general health and overall fitness.

Tuesday
Keep Moving CIC, 9.30am to 10.30am, first class free then £3.50 per class or buy a 10 class pass for £30

Keep Moving offers affordable exercise classes for people who feel unfit or have a medical condition that can be improved through regular exercise. Improve your cardiovascular fitness, strength, balance and coordination.

Wednesday
Yoga, 9.30am to 11.30am, £4 per class (booking essential)

Yoga focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. Regular yoga can help people with high blood pressure, aches and pains depression and stress. This class is part of Durham County Council’s Ways to Wellbeing programme offering beginners level exercise in the community.

MS Yoga, 2pm to 3.15pm,

Yoga can help people who have Multiple Sclerosis in managing their condition. MS Yoga is a session specially designed for people who have Multiple Sclerosis, to help them manage their condition using gentle stretches and strengthening muscles.

Tai Chi, 2.30pm to 3.30pm, £3 per class

Tai Chi combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. It can help reduce stress, improve posture, balance and general mobility, and increase muscle strength in the legs.

Zumba, 7pm to 8pm, £4 per session

Zumba achieves cardio and muscle-toning benefits by combining fast and slow rhythms and (according to medical research) burns up more calories than ‘steady-state’ exercises, such as jogging. What’s more it’s fun!

Thursday
Let’s Dance with Maxine, 1pm to 2pm, £5 per session

A fun dance along to fabulous vintage sounds. Charleston, Swing and Rock n Roll your way to fun & fitness. Low impact, easy to follow & a great mood booster so “Let’s Dance” our way to better health

Pilates uses particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Suitable for all ages and levels of ability and fitness, Pilates can help manage conditions lower back pain and help to maintain a healthy weight
