Do you have experience of working with Adults with Learning Disabilities?

We have created an exciting new post for a Community Support Worker for Adults with Learning Disabilities.

The Community Support Worker will develop our offer for adults with learning disabilities over the age of 30, working with service users to understand their needs and together develop a range of new activities and initiatives in Bullion Hall. You will work alongside key members of the Bullion Hall team to promote the project to partners.

In addition you will serve as a friend /buddy to service users enabling them to engage with existing activities in the centre such as art, exercise or crafts, helping them to feel confident about continued participation and challenging discrimination where this might be encountered.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with adults with learning disabilities have excellent communication and organisational skills and able to work flexible hours including evening and some weekends.

The post is a one-year fixed term contract and the salary is NJC 9 (£20,903) pro rata @28hours -£15,818 per annum

Deadline for completed applications is 10am Monday 6th December 2021 and interviews will take place on Tuesday 14th December 2021.
