Bullion Hall is looking for freelance tutors

Bullion Hall is a popular community centre in Chester le Street offering a broad range of activities to meet all interests, needs and ages from keep fit classes, to arts and crafts groups to music and dance and more.

We are looking to add to our current pool of freelance, self-employed tutors who are experienced at working in community settings. Examples of subjects that we are interested in that will compliment or enhance our current offer, include: sewing, knitting and other crafts painting and drawing, creative writing, choir and singing, exercise and wellbeing activities for example Pilates, Zumba, seated exercise, beginners and intermediary classes in foreign languages/British sign language, music, DIY and other hobbies pastimes or skills that can improve people’s opportunities for future employment

Many of the activities we currently offer are for people aged 50 and over. However, we are particularly interested in developing more classes and activities for children and young people

Our hourly rate starts at £21 per hour depending on skills, qualifications and experience

All tutors must be able to produce an up to date DBS check along with public liability insurance and two references.

Please note that we cannot guarantee any work for tutors and that any opportunities offered will be on a self-employed basis, the tutor being responsible for their own tax and national insurance.
